A sold-out audience attended a screening of “20 Days in Mariupol” at the Nickelodeon last night (February 7th). The critically acclaimed documentary filmed by Mstyslav Chernov about Russia’s assault on the port city of Mariupol during the first phase of its war in Ukraine in 2022. The film screening was co-organized by the Walker Institute and featured a discussion after the screening with the film’s Emmy-winning producer and editor Michelle Mizner, hosted by Carl Dahlman, director of the Walker Institute. The film has been nominated for numerous awards including an Academy Award for Best Documentary 2024. Produced by PBS/Frontline, 20 Days in Mariupol may be watched online using the PBS app or on YouTube.
