Launch Your Idea

Our office will work closely with you to obtain Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) and Small Business Technology Transfer (STTR) grants and other financial resources to accelerate research and development of innovative technologies.

Startup Support

We understand the unique needs of entrepreneurs and startup companies. TCO works closely with startups to craft licenses that put them on a path to success and long-term sustainability. Once a license is in place, we will connect you and your team with resources that provide funding, training, and space for startups.

SBIR/STTR Grants

Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) and Small Business Technology Transfer (STTR) programs provide federal funding to small businesses to engage in research and development with potential for commercialization. These programs are the largest source of early-stage, high-risk R&D funding. TCO has expert consultants on staff to help you identity and apply for these grants.

Sponsored Research

Public- and private-sector sponsors will often fund university research in a specific area of interest or field. This type of partnership gives faculty and students the opportunity to add industry collaborations to their portfolios. If we determine that your research will likely benefit more from this type of support than entrepreneurship or grants, we will refer you to the appropriate University contacts.
