Bright Horizons at the University of South Carolina
Bright Horizons at the Child Development Research Center at USC will collaborate with
the Core 1 team to design and develop SKIP+CODE (Successful Kinesthetic Instruction
for Preschoolers + Computation Opportunities for Developmental Equity) in years one
and three of the project. The USC College of Education has a long-standing research-to-practice
partnership with Bright Horizons on the USC campus.
SC Organization of Rural Schools (SCORS)
SCORS is the major organization representing and promoting the interests of rural
schools in South Carolina. Members of the institute have partnered with SCORS for
several years on understanding and supporting the unique strengths and needs of rural
students, schools and communities.
SC Coalition for Mathematics and Science (SCCMS)
SCCMS works to amplify the voices and impact of South Carolina’s STEM community. This
includes identifying and addressing grand challenges in STEM education through partnerships,
advocacy and public engagement, as well as inspiring learning and leadership in STEM
education. SCCMS is partnering with the institute to facilitate connections to, networking
with and disseminating findings to the state, national and international STEM ecosystems.
