What is CarolinaSAFE?
The University’s CarolinaSAFE app provides students, faculty and staff with access to a range of safety tools and campus resources in one convenient place.
Check out some of the features:
Connect with a University of South Carolina Police Dispatcher in real time through the app’s 24/7 chat feature.
Report non-emergency information about a crime, incident or suspicious activity to the University of South Carolina Police Department, with the option to include photos and videos.
Lets users set a destination and travel with a safety timer that can be extended as needed. Users can make an emergency call at any time, and if the timer expires, Dispatch is notified.
Send your location to the University of South Carolina Police Department while communicating with a Dispatcher through an in-app chat or phone call.
Allows users to share their location with trusted contacts—whether or not they have the CarolinaSAFE app—so they can follow their trip until they arrive at their destination.
Offers easy-to-follow procedures for handling different types of emergencies on campus, helping users take the right actions when it matters most.
