Research Symposium

The University of South Carolina School of Medicine Greenville hosts an annual research symposium where rising M2 students present their spring and summer research.

Symposium Components

Students work with a faculty mentors on research projects through the Prisma Health Sciences Center or in offsite locations. The symposium includes student oral presentations, poster sessions and networking opportunities for students and research mentors. 

The symposium agenda is published prior to the event and concludes with a presentation of awards. Previous symposium information, presentations and poster examples are archived by year.

 

Alan M. Peabody Award

The Peabody Foundation board established the Alan M. Peabody, MD Award of Excellence in celebration of Dr. Alan M. Peabody’s legacy and in support of the next generation of physicians.

This award goes to a rising M2 student researcher who exemplifies Dr. Peabody’s spirit, showing commitment to education, research, service to others and life-long learning.
