McKissick Museum will be closed through the end of spring semester, as the university monitors the impact of #COVID19 in South Carolina. This includes the cancellation of all scheduled events and tours. These events include March & April's Quilt Documentation Days and the Nature of Spring with Rudy Mancke (3/17). Parking
Metered parking is available streetside on Bull and Pendleton Streets, or on the lower levels of the Pendleton Street Garage. Visitors should enter the garage from Pickens Street. Weekend visitors may enjoy free parking in the gated parking circle on the north side of the building, at the intersection Bull and Pendleton Streets.
Accessibility
The building and exhibitions are handicap accessible. The accessible entrance is located on the north side of the building, facing Pendleton Street. Handicap parking is available in the gated parking circle on the north side of the building.
Group Visits
Visits to the Museum are primarily self-guided. However, we do ask that groups of 20 or more notify the museum of their plans prior to visiting. Free guided tours of current exhibitions are available with advance notice. Please contact Amanda Belue at 803-777-2876 for tour availability.
Photography
Photography is permitted inside the museum, however we ask that you refrain from the use of flash photography within our exhibition spaces.
