TELLING THE STORY OF SOUTHERN LIFE

We collect and share the natural heritage of the American South. Come see what we have to offer.

The McKissick Museum is moving and undergoing a transformational renovation. While this means our exhibition spaces will be closed starting December 8, 2025, it will ultimately make our collections more visible to the USC student population and allow us to pursue new ways to document and share the history, art and culture of our region.

Stay Connected

As we transition to a new space and our historic building is renovated, your continued support ensures the preservation of Southern history for future generations.

Plan Your Visit

Located on the Historic Horseshoe, McKissick is free and open to all. Enjoy guided tours, self-paced exploration and rotating exhibits. Visit before our closure in December 2025.
