At the 2019 Spring Commencement, Toniqua Mikell will make history as the first Black person in the Department of Criminology and Criminal Justice to earn a Ph.D. After graduation, Toniqua will be heading to the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth to work as an Assistant Professor in the Crime and Justice Studies department.
