VIP replaced by new HR/Payroll System
All faculty, staff and student employees will use a new system to view and manage
their employee information. This new Human Capital Management (HCM) system replaces
VIP. Access the new system through the "HCM" link on the left side of this page, under
Tools and Resources. Visit the HR/Payroll Project website for additional details.

To log in:

- Upon successfully logging in through the multi-factor authentication, you will be taken directly to the Employee Self Service landing page in PeopleSoft HCM.
- New "Time and Absence" and "Payroll" tiles are available.
Quick Tip: Absence Types
As you begin requesting leave days, be mindful of the Absence Name that you select.
The most commonly utilized Absence types are Annual Leave and Sick Leave, as they
are the two types of accrued leave at UofSC. Refer to the Absence Type Reference Guide [pdf] which outlines each type of leave available.
Getting Help and Support
Departmental facilitators have been identified for every college, division and campus
across the UofSC System to ensure ample support for students, faculty and staff. Our
goal is to support our campus community as we learn how to use this new system, and
these facilitators will play a key role in making this happen.
For a listing of departmental facilitators, visit the Time/Labor and Absence Management Implementation webpage where you will find a Departmental Facilitator table. Use the Search field to enter your department number or department name to find your Departmental Facilitator.
Training Resources
Online resources are available on the Time/Labor and Absence Management Implementation webpage in an on-demand and self-paced format, including demo videos and printable
job aids. These resources are organized by employee type and illustrate how to enter time and request an absence in the Time and Absence System.
