We help first-generation and low-income students push themselves academically and
personally to overcome struggles that can derail their education and goals. We encourage
them to study abroad, participate in supplemental instruction and experience the many
opportunities that are available on campus.
Access tutoring assistance, academic advising assistance, guidance on undergraduate research and study abroad opportunities, mentoring, workshops and cultural enrichment opportunities. Freshmen taking three or more OSP courses receive significant tuition reduction.
The Ronald E. McNair Post-Baccalaureate Achievement Program helps TRIO-eligible undergraduates prepare for and pursue graduate degrees. The program includes a six-week summer research component with a stipend, faculty mentoring and research experiences.
