Students who participate in our programs gain experience and built talent around key discipline areas that are in high demand at organizations like the national laboratories.
Students in our programs may be considered for financial support, scholarships, stipends and professional development opportunities.
Programs
The office's programs will serve U.S. citizen students at the undergraduate, graduate and postdoctoral levels. Our programs offer hands-on experience in STEM areas relevant to the work being carried out at the Savannah River National Laboratory.

Undergraduate Program
Undergraduates can gain experience in national security, science and energy research areas, along with the possibility of working as an intern for the Savannah River National Laboratory.

Graduate Program
Graduate students currently training with faculty conducting research in mission-relevant areas can receive monetary and professional development support through this program.

Postdoctoral Program
This program provides partial financial support for postdocs with funded research in disciplines associated with mission-relevant areas.

These events are held regularly, either by our office or a partner organization.
Savannah River National Laboratory Day
This event is held annually on a rotating basis at one of the participating South Carolina universities' campuses. Savannah River National Laboratory employees will be invited to meet face-to-face with STEM students and answer any questions they may have.
