ClinTrUSC
The Center for Clinical & Translational Research at the University of South Carolina
(ClinTrUSC) was established to address the critical need for advanced clinical and
translational research in the Midlands of South Carolina.
Advancing Clinical and Translational Research
ClinTrUSC serves as a central hub for advancing clinical and translational research
in the Midlands of South Carolina. Supported by a competitive NIH/NIGMS CTR-D award,
ClinTrUSC was established to expand research capacity and connect researchers with
the infrastructure and partnerships needed to conduct high-quality clinical and translational
research.
ClinTrUSC Cores
This mission of ClinTrUSC is carried out through a set of specialized cores that bring
together complementary areas of support offering investigators the expertise and resources
needed to advance clinical and translational research.
Collectively, the ClinTrUSC Core’s provide governance and coordination, connections
with communities and health systems, fosters research through pilot projects, expands
opportunities for professional development, infrastructure for research data compliance,
and evaluating health outcomes with advanced techniques. The ClinTrUSC cores create
an integrated framework that helps move discoveries from concept to real-world impact
on health.
