Investigating the relationship between circulating cysteine adducts and diabetes complications
The Pilot and Developmental (P&D) Research Program provides competitive funding to advance innovative clinical and translational research.
The P&D Project Program provides competitive funding to support one-year Pilot Projects (up to $100,000) and one- or two-year Developmental Projects (up to $200,000 total). The program requires a pre-application and full proposal process and includes a rigorous scientific review. Eligible faculty across South Carolina institutions may apply, with required participation of a USC PI or co-investigator and a clinical collaborator affiliated with a qualifying Midlands clinical facility. Projects are expected to generate strong preliminary data, demonstrate meaningful use of ClinTrUSC cores, and position investigators to submit competitive extramural grant applications.
