The Arnold School of Public Health promotes active faculty, research staff, and student engagement in scholarly activities and identifies and facilitates collaborative research opportunities in areas that are integral to the science and practice of public health.

In fiscal year 2024, the Arnold School received a record $59,062,241 in total extramural awards, of which $31,426,332 is from the National Institutes of Health. Arnold School faculty published 713 peer-reviewed articles in calendar year 2023-2024.

The Arnold School also receives funding from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the National Science Foundation, the Environmental Protection Agency, the National Atmospheric and Oceanic Administration, the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation as well as from a variety of other federal, state, corporate, and private sources.
