Here at the Cancer Prevention and Control Program, our senior researcher Tom Hurley and his research and data team, in collaboration with Cancer Prevention and Control Program and Arnold School of Public Health faculty, have spent many years developing the research infrastructure that we are excited to share with our greater research community, both within the University of South Carolina and across the country and world, in the hopes that we all may benefit from these collaborations. We currently offer two excellent core resources: the Dietary Assessment Research Unit and the Data Analysis and Management Unit.
This resource is available to researchers both within and outside the University of South Carolina and provides guidance in the most effective methods to gather reliable information about a person's diet and eating habits.
This resource is offered to researchers within and outside of the university. Within this unit, we use web-based techniques and questionnaires to collect information about individuals' exposure to numerous lifestyle and environmental factors, and we offer our services in statistical analysis and management of this data.
