Walker Institute would like to welcome our new Associate Director, Dr. Saskia Coenen-Snyder, Associate Professor of History.

Dr. Coenen-Snyder's interest lie in the relationship between the built environment and Jewish identity formation in nineteenth century Europe. She has written book chapters on European Jewish history and as well as a book, Building a Public Judaism: Synagogues and Jewish Identity in Nineteenth Century Europe, released in 2013.

The Walker Institute is happy to have her as part of their family!
