Admission Requirements

Students at USC Salkehatchie may choose education as an intended major but will not be formally accepted into the program until they have met the following requirements:

  1. Completed all GENERAL EDUCATION REQUIRED CLASSES
  2. Completed 60 semester hours at semester of application
  3. Earned a grade of “C” or better on ENGL 101, ENGL 102 & COMM requirements
  4. Earned a passing scores on all 3 parts of  the Praxis Core Exam or earned exemptible scores on the ACT or SAT
  5. Earned a cumulative GPA of at least 2.75
  6. Earned clearances on SLED background check and the National Sex Offender Registry
  7. Obtained a TB test showing that you are free of active TB
