The USC Salkehatchie Campus Shop is privileged to support the academic endeavors of
the students and faculty of the University. At the bookstore you will find a variety
of merchandise including textbooks, general books, course materials, computer accessories,
US postage stamps and logo clothing. The bookstore also offers a large selection of Indian and Gamecock attire and memorabilia
at affordable prices. The selection changes frequently, so shop often to see our
new arrivals. Purchasing Textbooks
Once you complete your online course registration, visit the bookstore and check out
your needed course materials. Purchasing your books early allows you to have first
choice of used books and you avoid the long lines during first day of classes. If
you are receiving financial aid, you can put money on your Carolina Card
online through Self Service Carolina so that you can purchase your books before you receive your overage.
Bring Cash, Check, or Credit Card!
The bookstore staff will happily supply you with the list of textbooks you will need.
The average student will spend about $500.00 on textbooks each semester. Plan ahead
to save the money you will need to purchase the required books. Shop around for used
books from other students or people you know.
Financial Aid for Textbooks
Textbooks may be purchased with financial aid. When you apply for financial aid,
ask for an amount that will also cover your course materials. If you have applied
for financial aid but it is not available at the beginning of the semester, don’t
worry! You can put money on your Carolina Card
online through Self Service Carolina and use it to purchase your course materials in the USC Salkehatchie Bookstore.
