Murphy’s Club is the ultimate pathway to success at summer training at the Gamecock Battalion. Murphy’s Club is designed to install the physical strength and mental agility required for advanced summer training opportunities.

Airborne
Conducted at Fort Benning, Georgia, the Basic Airborne Course qualifies cadets in using the parachute as a means of combat deployment and to develop leadership, self-confidence, and an aggressive spirit through mental and physical conditioning.

Air Assault
US Army Air Assault School is a 10-day course designed to prepare soldiers for insertion, evacuation, and pathfinder missions that call for the use of multipurpose transportation and assault helicopters.

Special Forces Combat Dive Course
Arguably one of the Army’s hardest schools, the Special Forces Dive Qualification Course challenges all those who seek to test their limits.

Mountain Warfare
Located outside Burlington, Vermont, the US Army Mountain Warfare School aims to instruct its students on all aspects of mountain warfare operations.

Jungle School
A 20 week program based out of Hawaii, students focus on jungle mobility training, waterborne operations, combat tracking, jungle tactics, survival training and situational training exercises at the squad level.

Project Go
Project Global Officer (Project GO) is a collaborative initiative that promotes critical language education, study abroad, and intercultural dialogue opportunities for Reserve Officer Training Corps (ROTC) students.

CTLT
The Cadet Troop Leader Training (CTLT) track provides Cadets the opportunity to experience leadership in Army Table of Organization and Equipment (TO&E) units over a three to four week period. Cadets serve in lieutenant-level leadership positions in active-duty units.

Robin Sage
The Robin Sage exercise provides cadets with an interest in Infantry and/or Special Forces an opportunity to serve as squad members within “G” bands.

Sapper
The Sapper Leader Course is a 28-day course designed to train joint-service leaders in small unit tactics, leadership skills, and tactics required to perform as part of a combined arms team.

Northern Warfare
NWTC provides Cold Weather and Mountain Warfare training to US military and designated personnel in order to enhance war-fighting capabilities of US and coalition partners.

Summer Internships
Cadets are eligible to compete for over 15 unique internships available exclusively for cadets in ROTC.

Cyber Internship

Advanced Camp
At the end of their junior year, all cadets have to attend US Army ROTC Advanced Camp at Fort, Knox.

Basic Camp
Before their Junior Year, cadets or lateral entry students can elect to take part in Basic Camp, a 31 day course at Fort Knox, Kentucky.

Training
Every summer, cadets have the opportunity to participate in Cadet Summer Training. The Gamecock Battalion's Murphy Club provides preparatory training which leads to a higher overall graduation rate and increased special schools slotting from 4th Brigade.
