There are many ways to join Army ROTC with unique opportunities for students that are in High School and are beginning to apply to colleges, as well as for students that are already enrolled in college.

For students already enrolled at one of the colleges in the Gamecock Battalion.
For students attending eligible colleges.
High School and College students are both eligible to apply for scholarships through Army ROTC. High School students generally compete for 3 or 4-year scholarships while college students are usually only eligible for 2 or 3-year scholarships. To find out what scholarships you are eligible to compete for, please contact Mr. Barry Hale at bhale@sc.edu.
The two-year scholarship is available for those who have two academic years of college remaining.
The three-year scholarship is available for students already enrolled in a college or university with three academic years remaining.
The Four-Year college Scholarship is for high school students planning on attending a four-year college program.
