Background
Maggee Ellis comes to the CIEL team after an extensive 13-year career in K-12 education. She previously served as a teacher, instructional leader, and school administrator, where she was instrumental in developing engaging curriculum and implementing student support initiatives. Her career has been consistently driven by a strong commitment to increasing access to learning opportunities for all students, a passion she is excited to bring to higher education.
Maggee comes to the CIEL team after an extensive 13-year career in K-12 education. She previously served as a teacher, instructional leader, and school administrator, where she was instrumental in developing engaging curriculum and implementing student support initiatives. During her time in K-12 education, she was named Teacher of the Year and participated in key leadership development opportunities, including the assistant principal program through the Center for Executive Education Leadership and the Educational Leaders Experience, where she was a member of the Iota cohort. Her career has been consistently driven by a strong commitment to increasing access to learning opportunities for all students, a passion she is excited to bring to higher education.
A lifelong resident of South Carolina, she enjoys spending time with her husband and two daughters and is an avid supporter of the Gamecocks.
