Women's Mentoring & Professional Development Workshop:
Leading on the Other Side of the Glass Ceiling
The Provost's Advisory Committee on Women's Issues would like to invite faculty, staff, and graduate students to a Women's Mentoring & Professional Development Workshop on "Leading on the other side of the Glass Ceiling!"
What's keeping women under the glass ceiling? According to statistics, there are a variety of factors. Women continue to carve a path to the top of academic leadership in major colleges and universities. Unfortunately, their paths have been different than their male counterparts.
Join us for this interactive workshop with Nathalie Gregg, author of Leading in Stilettos, as she demystifies the barriers to leadership for women in higher education. The discussion will focus on three areas of concentration to include socialization (Gender Differences & Social Settings), effective communication (Peer, Boss, & Professional Network), and confidence (Recognizing Your Strengths & Owning Your Power).
Participants will have an opportunity to evaluate their strengths as a leader, and chart a course for moving them toward their goals.
You will not want to miss the expert panel discussion moderated by Nathalie Gregg. It will focus on the networking, mentorship, and sponsorship for women leaders in academe.
