1. New Arts and Humanities Grant Program is announced
   The Office of the Provost is sponsoring a new pilot program to support scholarship and creative achievement in the Arts and Humanities.
2. Provost Visits to Departments, Colleges, and Schools Scheduled
   Provost Michael Amiridis will meet with faculty and students in each academic unit on the Columbia and Regional campuses, including the School of Medicine, over the fall and spring semesters.
3. Quality Enhancement Plan (QEP):
   CALL FOR PAPERS
   The Provost Office is issuing a call for proposals for USC's QEP, a five-year project aimed at improving student learning. Cash prizes of $2,500 will be awarded to the four best papers. Proposals are due October 30, 2009.
