Study the basic principles of graphic design, concentrating on typography, layout,
color, contrast, repetition and proximity. You'll be introduced to two different
software programs for common design projects: Adobe InDesign and Microsoft Word.
The emphasis on the course is not software instruction, but on design concepts and
execution. By the end of the course, students should be able to design professional
typographical layouts including resumes, business cards and invitations.
