Teletherapy Counseling & Psychiatry Appointments
Counseling & Psychiatry is getting ready to start teletherapy services for UofSC students
that were seen by our providers during the Spring 2020 semester and live within the
state South Carolina. If you were seen for counseling services this spring, you will
receive a secure message in
MyHealthSpace from one of our counselors. Please check your account for more information and instructions.
If you have previously been seen for psychiatric services at Counseling & Psychiatry
and need medication refills, contact your provider through secure messages in
Students who were not seen at Counseling & Psychiatry in Spring 2020 or have left
the state of South Carolina, the
Psychology Today website has a great ”Find a Therapist” search tool. We cannot personally recommend
any of the providers here, but this is a good starting point for most students due
to filtering abilities like ability to specify insurance, presenting concerns, teletherapy
providers, etc. Student Health Fee will not cover the costs of these counseling services.
We will resume in-person counseling and psychiatry services as soon as possible.
We have health and wellness programs available for students, faculty and staff that
are working and studying remotely. These include stress management resources like
meditation and yoga; cooking classes; coloring; games and crafts.
Some appointments must be made over the phone, including those for psychiatry, faculty/staff
wellness, nutrition and counseling follow-ups.

NOTE: Same day appointments open up every hour, starting the evening before the appointment.
Please check back if our schedule is full.
