STRIVE networking events are offered at least twice a year, in the fall and spring semesters. These informal gatherings give research administrators a chance to get timely updates from the Office of Sponsored Awards Management and the Office of Research and Grant Development, ask questions about policies, procedures and day-to-day issues surrounding award administration and connect with peers they can call on and collaborate with throughout the year. The goal of STRIVE networking events is to develop a university-wide network of research administrators to work together, learn from each other and identify common goals for their ongoing training and support.
STRIVE networking events typically involve a meal or reception, a presentation on a topic of interest to research administrators and unstructured time for networking and conversation. All USC research administrators are encouraged to attend STRIVE networking events. Completion of the STRIVE Staff Certification Program is not a prerequisite.
