Black Male Initiatives

We want our students to achieve success in all aspects of life and create meaningful relationships with others. This program exclusively serves the needs of black men. 

Brother to Brother (B2B)

The Brother 2 Brother Black Male Initiative (B2B) is designed to increase the value of community and foster brotherhood for Black men at the University of South Carolina. B2B aims to improve active participation, provide educationally enriched experience and increase retention of Black men.  

Cuts and Conversations

Cuts and Conversations is a component of Brother2Brother Black Men Initiative. The Brother2Brother Black Men Initiative (B2B) is designed to increase the value of community and foster brotherhood for Black men at the University of South Carolina. Cuts and Conversation is a barbershop talk series is a safe space for Black men to discuss topics, issues, and concerns within their community. Haircuts will be provided by local barbers; you do not need to get a haircut to participate. The first ten people that RSVP can receive a free haircut.  To RSVP, click here

Community Dinners

The B2B Community dinner serves as a networking event with Black men from the Columbia community as well as USC alums, faculty and staff.
