The Home for Health Science Students

Galen is USC's Livng and Learning Community for students interested in a healthcare career. The program brings the health science disciplines together to give students a more holistic perspective on health care practice and issues.

Galen Health Fellows is a community that has allowed me to make best friends with students who have similar majors, interests and future aspirations. I really couldn't imagine how different my first-year experience would be if I did not live in the GHF community.

Linked Courses

You will take courses designed exclusively for Galen Health Fellows scholars and study with your peers to enhance your relationships and learning experience.

While Galen students are not required to participate in these courses, they are encouraged to do so in order to gain the most out of their time at Galen.

Student Spotlight

I am a junior Cardiovascular Technology major and a Galen Health Fellow. What I appreciate the most with Galen Health Fellows is the networking with professionals and the family-style environment. There's events such as having lunch or visiting the office. You get the feeling of home. On campus, I work for the University Housing S.P.U.R.S. I am currently the vice president of the Brothers of Nubian Descent. I haven't decided where, but I plan to attend graduate school. I will pursue PhD in Sociology with a focus on health disparities. I plan to conduct research and possibly become a professor. Through this program, I have attended MexEx Academy, leadership summits, interviews, and conducted research. All fueled by GALEN HEALTH FELLOWS!
