Program Description:

Reading famous works of literature and analyzing them through a geocritical perspective that emphasizes the historical and social stratification of space, students will discover how British and Irish authors from the past up until the present day have captured the experience of living in London and Dublin. As they visit and learn about these two cities, they will come to better understand the influence that the urban experience has on content and style. Finally, students will develop their own voice as they write short pieces of fiction, poetry, and/or creative nonfiction and workshop them while they travel.
