Patients & Caregivers

The USC Brain Health Network is here to work with you and your family doctor to create the best plan for your unique needs.

How to be seen by someone at the USC Brain Health Network

Getting a timely and accurate diagnosis is important when it comes to caring for memory loss.

1. Start with your family doctor.

The first step you need to take is to see your family doctor (primary care provider). If you don't have one, contact us and we will connect you with someone.

2. If your doctor refers you to the Brain Health Network, we'll screen you for cognitive and memory concerns.

After your screening, we will work with you and your primary care provider to develop a customized care plan.

3. We'll get you access to the resources you need.

If we evaluate your screening and think you need further consultation, we will work with your primary care provider to:

  • Proceed with a detailed cognitive assessment
  • Get you access to a behavioral neurologist
  • Schedule you for assessment using advanced technology and/or lab work

4. You'll get to know one of our  community health workers.

They will provide you with a personalized list of resources to help get you back to doing what you love.
