Brain Health Center

The University of South Carolina Brain Health Center is a new, state-of-the-art facility focused on helping people understand, manage and treat brain and memory conditions including Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias.

Care designed around you

Services at the Brain Health Center are provided by referral through the USC Brain Health Network or the appropriate Prisma Health department. The center does not offer walk-in services or direct appointment scheduling.

A team approach to your care

The Brain Health Center features a collaboration between the University of South Carolina and Prisma Health:

  • The University of South Carolina leads research and manages the USC Brain Health Network clinic.
  • Prisma Health provides clinical services including neurology, therapy, imaging and infusion services. 

Together, we bring leading research and expert care directly to patients in South Carolina. We are committed to helping patients and families better understand brain health, provide access to advanced care and feel supported every step of the way.

How to make an appointment

  • For a cognitive screening and evaluation, ask your primary care provider or neurologist for a referral to the USC Brain Health Network.
  • For services including neurology care, physical and occupational therapy, imaging services including the 7-Tesla MRI machine, or infusion services, your provider may refer you directly to the appropriate Prisma Health department.
