Background

Dr. Selph received her Master of Science in Nursing and Doctor of Nursing Practice in 2014 from the Medical University of South Carolina. She completed her Bachelor of Science in Nursing at Illinois Wesleyan University in 2005. 

Teaching

Dr. Selph teaches in the undergraduate and graduate programs. Most recently, she has taught NURS 311, NURS 324 and NURS 718. 

Research

Dr. Selph’s research interests involve process improvement and addressing barriers to access to care among vulnerable populations. 

Professional Service

Dr. Selph is a member of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners and the Capitol Nurse Practitioner Group.  

Professional Practice

Dr. Selph is a board certified adult nurse practitioner. She currently practices at the Free Medical Clinic in Columbia, SC and serves adult, uninsured low-income patients. As an RN, Dr. Selph worked in the Emergency Department.
