Office of the Provost

The Provost is the chief academic officer of the University of South Carolina. He oversees the schools and colleges of the USC Columbia campus as well as the four regional campuses
(USC Lancaster, USC Salkehatchie, USC Sumter, USC Union).

The Provost is charged with overall leadership of academic affairs of the University, including curriculum development and establishment of academic standards in the schools and colleges.

Fulbright Workshop Scheduled for Feb 23
A Fulbright workshop on international teaching and research opportunities will be offered from 1-3:30 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 23, 2012, in the UTS Auditorium. The workshop will also be webcast live for registrants who request such access during the registration process. Registration deadline: Feb. 16.
Duke Energy Executives-in-Residence Program "Leadership in Sustainability"
The Office of the Provost and the Carolina Leadership Initiative are pleased to announce the Duke Energy Executives-in-Residence program with the theme “Leadership in Sustainability.” The next speaker is Duke Energy's Vice President for Energy and Environmental Policy John Stowell on Feb. 7th.

The USC Coordinating Office for Community Engagement and Service (COCES) has been established as a central coordinating portal for community engagement activities at USC.
McNair Center
The McNair Center focuses on the research and education needs of South Carolina's burgeoning aerospace industries.
Faculty Expertise Database
The Faculty Expertise Database was developed to foster research collaboration and to showcase the wide array of expertise and talent offered by the faculty of the University of South Carolina.
