Graduation Application and Master's Program of Study (MPOS) Forms
STEP 1:
Apply for graduation. The graduation application for the Spring 2022 academic term is now available online in Self Service Carolina. It is listed under “Apply to Graduate”. The deadline to apply for graduation is Friday, Jan. 21, 2022.
STEP 2:
Complete the Master's Program of Study (MPOS) Form and forward it to Lauren Puffenbarger.
Be sure to complete the MPOS form in its entirety, and sign and date it prior to submission. Your application for graduation is not considered complete by the Registrar's Office unless both Steps 1 and 2 have been done.
The deadline to apply for graduation and submit the MPOS form is Friday, January 21. Please do not wait until the end of the academic term to apply for graduation. The PMBA program is not able to guarantee that MPOS forms submitted after the deadline will be accepted.
Business Analytics Certificate (BA)
If you are completing the Business Analytics Certificate, you must submit a separate graduation application. In essence, you will apply for graduation twice.
- You will use the same process as your initial graduation application for the MBA diploma (see the BA Certificate tab in the PMBA Blackboard Community for detailed information).
- The first application will be specifically for the MBA diploma and the second application will be for the BA Certificate.
Additionally, you will be required to complete and send two MPOS forms to Lauren Puffenbarger.
- The first MPOS form will list all 16 courses taken for the MBA diploma.
- The second MPOS form should only list the four courses taken for the BA Certificate.
Specializations
If you are completing a specialization, it must be indicated on the MPOS form in the track section. The codes for specializations are listed below. If you are not completing a specialization, please leave this area blank.
- 3207: Innovation and Entrepreneurship
- 3211: Finance
- 3226: Marketing
- 3575: International Business
Specializations will be notated on your official transcript but will not appear on your diploma, and you will not receive a separate certificate.
Special Topic Courses
If you took a special topics course (e.g., BADM 790, ACCT 741 or MKTG 712), please indicate the complete course title in the Abbreviated Course Title section of the MPOS form.
- Course titles such as Special Topics in Business, Special Topics in Accounting, and Topics – Mktg. Thought in Practice are generalized titles that are used for multiple courses with different subject areas. These course titles will not be accepted by the UofSC Graduate School on the MPOS form, only the complete course title.
Requirements for Graduation
To be eligible to apply for graduation/program completion, you must:
- Be enrolled in the current academic term in all final course(s) needed to satisfy program requirements
- Meet the minimum, overall cumulative GPA requirement of 3.00 by the end of the academic term in which you are graduating. Earned grades of D or less will not be accepted
- Replace any grade of “Incomplete (I)” received with a passing letter grade prior to completion of the academic term in which you are graduating
