Whether you were just accepted to USC or you plan on being a Gamecock one day, it’s never too early to start preparing your Gamecock gear! Checkout these 10 items that you’ll want to add to your winter wish list.
Gamecock Jersey
Not only is a jersey perfect for #GoingGarnet photos, it’s also great for Saturdays in South Carolina... or anywhere! It’s perfect to wear year-round and will easily become a staple in your closet! You can one at the USC bookstore.
Headphones
Whether you are in a communal dorm, walking to class, working out, or just studying in the library – headphones are a must! The bookstore on campus has a ton of options to choose from! Headphones are one of the key ingredients to get me through a day in college!
Speaker
Along with headphones, you need some form of music when you and your friends want to get ready for the day, listen to a new song, or just jam out! Having a speaker comes in great use! A speaker and a good playlist can get you through just about anything.
USC Hat
I’m from Georgia and honestly could not believe the difference the state lines could make in humidity and heat. I used a hat throughout the beginning of my first semester – it helped hide my humidity hair and kept the sun off my face when walking around campus all while allowing me to rep the Gamecocks! I love the hat selection at Barefoot, a local store here in Columbia, and of course, the bookstore!
Comfortable Clothes
Comfy clothes are a must in college! I wear leggings or shorts every day paired with a South Carolina t-shirt, tank top, or sweatshirt. They are perfect for class, the wellness center and hanging out with friends. You can't go wrong with this addition to your Holiday Wish List!
Camera
Since being here, I have made memories that will last a lifetime. Being so busy and having fun all the time is something my friends and I have wanted to capture on disposable cameras! Whether it’s semi for our sororities, gameday, or just a movie night, we love to capture the fun moments and print them out around our dorm. Whether you want a nice camera or little disposables, you need something to capture all the moments your cell phone misses!
Calendar
Having a calendar or planner is something that is essential for every college student. It helps keep you on track throughout the semester and remindss you of important deadlines! I love the calendars from TJ Maxx and find that they are a good, affordable option for me, but if you want to rep the Gamecocks then the bookstore has a variety of calendars and planners to choose from.
Laptop Stickers
Laptop stickers are the silly bands of college – everyone has them! They make your laptop cover unique and it gives you a way to rep your school, club, style and interest.
