About

The Office of Distributed Learning (ODL) is a service unit that advances the University's goal to grow Distributed Learning (DL) courses and programs, which are also referred to as blended or online. ODL works collaboratively with other academic and service units to support both faculty and students to achieve this mission. By doing so, we are helping relieve classroom space constraints and providing the diverse student population with more flexibility and choices for learning. 

Goals

  1. Increase the number of DL courses and programs.
  2. Promote DL courses and programs through effective marketing.
  3. Continue outreach and collaboration with other university academic faculty support units.
  4. Provide faculty and student support services integrating current and emerging technologies.

 

Mission

The Office of Distributed Learning (ODL) is a service unit committed to academic excellence in supporting the institutions’ mission of growing distributed learning.  It is the mission of the ODL to increase the number of distributed learning courses and programs. This mission is accomplished through effective marketing, outreach and collaboration with other university academic faculty support units, as well as providing faculty and student support services integrating current and emerging technologies. The outcomes of achieving the mission include relieving classroom space constraints and providing the diverse student population with more flexibility and choices for learning.
