UofSC's Healthy Carolina is celebrating 10 years of being a major campus initiative.

The initiative "encourages the campus community to pursue health and wellness in mind, body and spirit." Healthy Carolina has executed many programs on campus over the past decade including:

  • healthy choice icons on dining locations and vending machines
  • the Healthy Carolina Farmers Market
  • a Tobacco-Free USC policy
  • lactation rooms for nursing mother in 10 on-campus locations
  • a take-the-stairs campaign
  • FitWalk paths to encourage more physical activity

To celebrate the decade of achievements, Student Health Services will be hosting an event 4:30-6:30 p.m., Nov. 9, in the Darla Moore School of Business Sonoco Pavilion and Courtyard. Those who would like to attend should RSVP by Nov. 6.
