Program Description
Presenters will provide an Honesty Quiz for the class to take, and have active dialogue between the presenters and the participants on the dilemmas presented in the quiz. This will lead to discussion on how these situations and students’ decisions connect with the Carolinian Creed.
Topics covered include:
- Discussion of ethics, truth and honesty. Is there a "true honesty"? Have we convinced ourselves it is OK to compromise honesty if we can rationalize the decision?
- Have we (you personally, society overall) set our standards low when it comes to honesty? Why? What is the impact of that?
- Introduction of the Carolinian Creed and its relevance to students' everyday lives
- Differentiation between the Carolinian Creed, the Code of Conduct and Honor Code
