Kristin Lacey, MBA, PMP, Executive Director of Business Operations and Finance for
the University of South Carolina School of Medicine Greenville and the Prisma Health
Health Sciences Center (HSC), joined Prisma Health–Upstate, formerly Greenville Health
System, in November 2016, bringing over 14 years of experience in healthcare operations
and finance. Kristin serves as the key strategic advisor and administrative lead for
the medical school and the HSC, taking responsibility for directing support including
marketing and communications, facilities, human resources and philanthropic initiatives.
In addition, Kristin serves as the Chief Financial Officer for the SOM/HSC and will
support the deans to ensure the efficient operation, growth and outreach of the SOM
and related programs.
Prior to joining Prisma Health–Upstate, Kristin held a variety of leadership positions
for Spartanburg Regional Health System where she most recently served as director
of operations to help establish innovative research initiatives in partnership with
local schools and other health systems across the nation. As part of the founding
leadership team, Kristin recently helped form Guardian Research Network, whose mission
is to expand patient access to leading therapies through an aggregated data platform
and operational efficiencies in research. Kristin brings with her years of corporate
development, partner relations and project management experience from her role while
there.
Kristin earned her bachelor's degree in chemistry from Wofford College (2005) and
holds a master of business administration degree from Gardner-Webb University (2009).
