CATALOG DESCRIPTION
Considers individual development with the goal of increasing knowledge of self and others within the college. Topics include self-knowledge and assessment, learning to learn, and making the best use of college resources. This course is not open to students who are enrolled in or have received credit for PD 105.

- Maintain a weekly journal, chronicling your academic experiences and any personal reflections you wish to make.
- "You have a friend who wants to be a registered nurse. Using the college catalog, identify which courses your friend would need to take to earn a certificate? For a degree? (Assume that your friend is just starting college and is eligible to enroll in English 300 and Math 511.)
- Develop a personal/long-range academic plan.
- Present an oral report on a study technique that works for you.
EVALUATION Describe the methods by which students and instructors will know how the objectives listed above have been met.
Evaluation is based on the maintenance of a journal, class attendance, participation, the completion of an oral report and other assignments, including the development of an educational plan.
