Course Goal:
STAC 101 is a course designed in cooperation with the Aquinas Success Program to increase the likelihood of your academic and social success at St. Thomas Aquinas College through the content and experiences during the course.

Course Objective:

  1. Provide opportunities for students to develop relationships with fellow students, faculty, and the community that support and enrich a successful college experience.
  2. Provide instruction and practice in learning skills as the students makes the academic transition from high school to college.
  3. Provide opportunities for the development of personal skills as the student makes the transition to a life of relative freedom at college.
  4. Assist the student in defining the value of education and developing an appreciation for culture and an understanding the important of diversity and tolerance.
  5. Provide opportunities for students to develop personal goals for college learning
  6. Contribute to a learning environment at our institution that nurture the development of self-confidence, trust, and personal responsibility.
  7. Support our institution's mission to provide an excellent education.
