The National Resource Center hosts a number of conferences each year to address current trends and issues in higher education concerning students in transition. Conferences provide educators with an opportunity to discuss transition issues among a community of scholars comprised of both experts on the topic as well as those learning about it for the first time. The largest of these conferences, the Annual Conference on The First-Year Experience, focuses on first-year student issues and programs. To make the discussion of student transitions available to a large audience of educators, the Center also annually sponsors the National Conference on Students in Transition and the International Conference on The First-Year Experience.
In addition to these events, the Center presents institutes and workshops to assist educators in their efforts to serve their campus' students in transition.
