Role at the Center:
As Assistant Director of University 101, Jennifer Latino directs the Annual First-Year Reading Experience, the University 101 Scholarship Awards process, and oversees the process of the selection for the annual Outstanding Freshman Advocate Award.
Additionally, Jennifer works closely with the Director of University 101 coordinating the recruitment, selection, training and supervision of the undergraduate University 101 Peer Leaders and Graduate Leaders. She also assists in the planning and facilitation of instructional workshops and training including: University 101 Teambuilding Workshops and University 101 Spring Instructor Preparation Workshops.
The assistant director also coordinates the annual editing and publication processes for the Transitions textbook, maintains the University 101 website through regular updates and revisions, and coordinates the marketing and promotional materials for the University 101, 201, 290, and 401 courses.
