Association of African American Students
What to Expect
AAAS works to provide a safe space and positive cultural, intellectual and social environment for all students. We have annual events, such as the Back to School Cookout in the fall and End of the Year Cookout in the spring, the Fashion Show, Pajama Jam, Skate Night, and the Talented Tenth Awards. We hold meetings on the 1st and 4th Tuesdays of each month at 6pm in the RHUU Theater. These meetings focus on various social and political concerns of the African American community.
Associated Student Organization (ASO): student organizations to which the University has delegated certain limited authority to perform specific tasks aligned with the University's mission. These groups are required to maintain a University Advisor who is acting within the context of their university employment.
