Chris Muldrow

Excerpts from Muldrow's presentation

About the speaker . . .

Chris MuldrowChris Muldrow started his journalism career as a high school student writing for The Greenville Piedmont in the early 1990s. Muldrow, a 1995 journalism graduate of the Honors College at The University of South Carolina, got involved in digital news at The State newspaper, then moved to Fredericksburg, Va., where he was the founding editor of fredericksburg.com.

Muldrow served as vice president for Internet operations at Community Newspaper Holdings Inc. in Birmingham, Ala., which owns and operates more than 90 daily newspapers across the country.

He returned to the Fredericksburg area and to The Free Lance-Star Publishing Co. at the end of 2010 to fill the new role of Chief Digital Officer. His job is to build new digital businesses and to grow digital audience and revenue on top of the existing newspaper and radio operations owned by the company.
