Corey Hutchins
Corey Hutchins is a reporter for the Columbia Free
Times and a blogger at The Huffington Post who
covers South Carolina politics. He is the 2011
S.C. Press Association's Journalist of the Year and
his work has appeared on the cover of The Nation and
in The Texas Observer and The Progressive magazine,
among others.
Hutchins helped cover the 2012 GOP presidential
primary for CBS News, and his work has recently been
mentioned in The Atlantic, GQ, The New
York Times and Mother Jones. He is working
on the State Integrity Investigation at the
Center for Public Integrity in Washington, D.C., which
analyzed the risk for corruption in all 50 state governments.
His book about Alvin Greene, The Accidental Candidate,
came out in June. |
David Axe
David Axe is a freelance writer and video journalist
based in Columbia, S.C. A former Free Times staff writer,
since 2005 David has reported from conflict zones in
Iraq, Afghanistan, Somalia, Chad, Congo, Lebanon, East
Timor and other countries, for outlets including Wired,
C-SPAN, Voice of America and many others.
David is
the author of several books, including the graphic
novels War Fix and War is Boring, and the nonfiction
books Army 101 and From A to B. He co-authored The
Accidental Candidate with Corey Hutchins. David blogs
