Geoffrey Hardee is assistant director
of development for the College of Mass Communications and Information
Studies.
In his role at Carolina, Geoffrey coordinates alumni relations
initiatives for the college in such a way that builds alumni
engagement and support. He serves as the staff liaison for the
college’s Alumni Society and creates opportunities to engage
alumni and students. He manages the college’s Dean’s
Circle Giving Society and works with the college's senior director
of development to conduct prospect identification, research,
cultivation, solicitation, stewardship and follow-up. He also
helps manage scholarships, professorships, fellowships and other
funds.
Geoffrey is a native of Roanoke Rapids, North Carolina. He studied
communications at Wingate University and earned his Bachelor
of Science in history from Chowan University.
Geoffrey's background includes media, journalism, public relations,
and healthcare non-profit management. He began his career in
television and radio as a producer, reporter, and on-air talent.
He eventually took a position as director of a hospital foundation,
and raised record amounts of revenue for the organization. His
hobbies include spending time with his family, making music,
and traveling as much as possible.
Geoffrey and his wife, Heather, have two children, Alex and
Hannah, who attend elementary school in nearby Blythewood. Geoffrey
is excited to be a Gamecock and looks forward to raising his
family in South Carolina. |
