Writing Support

The Center for Business Communication (CBC) is the Moore School’s in-house writing and presentation support service. We were one of the first business communication centers in the United States and one of few to offer the expertise of faculty consultants in lieu of student peer tutors. The CBC is a free service for the entire Moore School community, providing consultations to individuals and teams on any kind of communication-related project at any stage of development.

About Us

Unlike other centers, the CBC employs only full-time faculty members as consultants. Everyone who works in the center is a member of the Moore School faculty with an advanced degree. In addition to being teachers, our consultants have business and industry experience, are published authors and understand the writing process and what it means to create great work.

Communications Consulting Services

Students interested in improving their performance on course assignments, their applications and personal statements, and their team projects and presentations come to the CBC for assistance with researching and organizing material, writing, revising, editing, rehearsing or simply getting started on a project.

Faculty can receive support for written assignments in their classes and assistance with assignment development via a series of in-class workshops.

CBC Policies

Please note that we are not an editing service. Our job is to work with you to improve your own writing and presentation skills and your ability to evaluate the skills of others. To that end, we will not:

  • Write for you
  • Proofread or edit for you
  • Guarantee a better grade
  • Grade papers
