A member of each graduates’ pod will serve as the special hooder. Click here to review “How to Hood Your Graduate.”
There will not be a formal rehearsal hosted for this event.
Please bring a mask and dress professionally comfortably under your regalia. Face coverings (over the nose and mouth) are required for all guests. Make sure you have your gap, gown, tassel, and hood. The durations of both ceremonies will be about two hours. The ceremonies will be a combination of standing and sitting, so make sure you are dressed comfortably enough for both.
The DoubleTree by Hilton Conference Center provides over 600 parking spaces and is free of charge. Guests with handicap placards or tags will enter the DoubleTree by Hilton Columbia’s rear parking lot and park in front of the double doors.
Sign language interpreters will be provided during both Hooding & Awards Ceremonies.
Each hooding ceremony will be livestreamed.

Due to COVID-19 precautions, no more than 3 guests per graduate are permitted to attend and be seated in their pods during the hooding ceremonies. Pod assignments will be emailed to Graduates on Wednesday, May 5, 2021. Click here to view the seating chart [PDF].
