Networking Events

Offered twice a year, GRANT networking events are a university-wide venue for grant colleagues to gather, receive updates from USC’s grant community and SAM, connect and collaborate with other USC research administrators.

Gamecock Research Administrators Network Training (GRANT) networking events are offered at least twice a year, in the fall and spring semesters. These informal gatherings give research administrators a chance to get timely updates from the Office of Sponsored Awards Management and the Office of Research and Grant Development, ask questions about policies, procedures and day-to-day issues surrounding award administration and connect with peers they can call on and collaborate with throughout the year. The goal of GRANT networking events is to develop a university-wide network of research administrators to work together, learn from each other and identify common goals for their ongoing training and support.

GRANT networking events typically involve a meal or reception, a presentation on a topic of interest to research administrators and unstructured time for networking and conversation. All USC research administrators are encouraged to attend GRANT networking events. Completion of the GRANT Staff Certification Program is not a prerequisite.

GRANT networking events are announced on our website and through the GRANT Listserv.
